Considering other places like it I would recommend this place . Most of the staff are knowable and compassionate for the sick and suffering . With every place like this you do have a few bad apples. the wound care needs an upgrade . The physical therapist are great and will get you what you need . They do need to improve in the area of aftercare .After seeing other places I would refer someone here .
After being disappointed in a much larger facility, this time, the social worker suggested Aristocare for my mother-in-law. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the place did not smell like a cat box. As the other larger place did. People were working, answering their phone, responding to questions & concerns. The facility was teaming with staff, unlike the other larger understaffed facility. Glad we followed the social worker's suggestion.
My mother just came here after being diagnosed with lung cancer and needed acute rehab. She doesn't have the best health insurance, so we were forced to come here. Aside from a great doctor and a few nice physical therapists and the manager Alecia...this place is horrible. My mother has been sitting in her own feces for an hour, the food is equivalent to what inmates are served, and she went 24 hours without her breathing treatment. It is dirty, and the negligence I've seen not only with my own mother but other patients as well is horrible. Please, don't send anyone you love here. My heart goes out to the medical professionals who are good here that are required to work in this environment.
The rehab team at AristaCare is fantastic. I’ve never worked with such devoted people and they’re all young and energetic. when I came here I couldn’t walk at all. My legs were like rubber and now after 5 weeks I can stand I can walk with help. Special Thanks to Moira, Shauna, Kelsey, Michael and Punam. What’s great about them is that they are very positive about your goals and I want to walk out of here and now I feel I can.
Please don't go there,I'm had a hip replacement.The nurses don't care AT ALL. They yell at patients,I had no walker,can wheelchair, I had to use the ladies room,A Jamaican nurse told me to walk. The medication was never correct They have mice.Food was horrific. The P.T. we're kind, friendly.I pray noone puts a family member in there to live. My new slippers, nightgowns,pj sets were all stolen. The rooms are absolutely beautiful.Who cares when the staff& medical are like being in a war zone. Unless the state goes in and cleans house, they're gonna be in a hotmess.I left AMA and it took a few hours to feel safe
My cousin was sent to this facility after being treated for congestive heart failure. He has been there for a week and for starters the aides there are very rude and disrespectful. When he needed help it was hours before someone came to help him. Today he sat in a hallway for three hours waiting for his physical therapy to begin, which he still hasn't started. I wouldn't refer anyone to this facility the workers are lazy, nasty to their patients and no patient should be treated in such a way.
My grandchildren loves visiting me and enjoying the recreation department with Tomecca and her crew. My nursing staff on the second floor is the greatest team anyone could ask for. Anita who is the greatest advocate for the residents she brings a great smile and sparkles coming and going.
In my short time as an employee here I have seen vast improvement in the growth of Administrative and Nursing staff. Our team works well together at providing excellent care. Our Social Worker Julie is extremely attentive and always available for patient needs.
